Children's book
'Mijn eerste dierenboek'
This children’s book is a redesign of an existing children’s book, called ‘mijn eerste dierenboek’ which translates to ‘my first book about animals’. This book cover I had to design with typography only. I couldn’t use any shapes or objects that would take the attention away from the typography.
The designing process
Before I started working on the design of this book, I did research on a book title I wanted to use. I decided to go for a book about animals, as I felt like I could mix the letters with animals in some way. After this, I looked for appropriate fonts for my idea, I wanted the letters to appear cut out. After finding a font that matched my idea, I started designing. I didn’t want to use too many colors and shapes, as it would be too distracting, so I stuck with a color pallet of green, orange, black and white.
